Steven Spielberg Gives 100K in Support of Gay Marriage

by admin on September 23, 2008

Steven Spielberg and his wife Kate Capshaw have given $100,000.00 to fight Proposition 8, they announced Monday.

“By writing discrimination into our state constitution, Proposition 8 seeks to eliminate the right of each and every citizen in our state to marry regardless of sexual orientation,” the statement said. “Such discrimination has NO place in California’s constitution, or any other.”

Brad Pitt gave the same amount recently.

As a CA I am outraged we even have to vote on this issue. Prop 8 is nothing less than a hate crime!

As a married heterosexual I will be voting against it and in support of Gay Marriage. I don’t understand people who feel others shouldn’t be allowed to love and marry those who they love.

No on Prop 8 is the fair-minded thing to do.
