I was banned, permanently, from Sean Hannity’s website. The reason I was given was that I was a troll. According to Wikipedia:
An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial and usually irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the intention of baiting other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.
I was not looking to bait other users into an emotional response nor was I trying to disrupt any discussion. I posted comments on 10 or so discussions in a 3 day period. I agreed and disagreed with the arguments presented. I never used foul language or was otherwise impolite. I did however use my blog URL as my signature much like half the posters commenting on the forum.
My goal was indeed to lure people to my blog. I am indeed trying to drum up readers and what better way than to stop preaching to the choir.
For those of you who have read most of my blog you know I was raised Republican and consider myself to be conservative. You also know I continually struggle with that identity. I’m a work in progress, what can I say.
I like Sean Hannity, sort of. I think he is cute. A friend of mine in college pointed out rather astutely that I had a thing for big dumb guys.
What was most interesting was that leaving my URL as a signature brought a lot of people to my site who wouldn’t have otherwise found it. I have an interesting name for a blog in that atmosphere and lots of people checked out my site. Lots and lots of people.
If I had been trying to incite some sort of controversy I would have expected that the people who followed me to my blog would have been ready to say something negative on my posts. No one did. At least not yet.
Which tells me that people are curious about queer spawn, are interested in what we have to say, are maybe interested in blogs about the gay community, and maybe not as small minded as I thought.

Those who are in the dark cower from the light.
Not to mention a lot of supposed conservatives, and alleged homophobes are hiding homosexual tendencies and fantasies.
Which in my opinion is much worse than admitting to and living your truth…because you know, that takes COURAGE and STRENGTH.
